More About Us

一九七一年，在一對海外基督使團(OMF)的退休外籍宣教士夫婦鼓勵下，一個為華人護士而設的聚會小組開始了。一九七四年，小組邀請一些就讀於雷汀大學的華人學生來参與聚會。「雷汀華人基督徒團契」從那時開始正式成立。

初期，團契聚會都是在宣教士的家裡舉行，從一九九一開始，随著廣東話組的成立，並向當地的華人傳福音，團契人數不斷增加。感謝 Wycliffe Baptist Church 從一九八六年開始，借出地方給團契聚會使用。感謝 基督教華僑佈道會 (COCM) 這些年來不斷差派牧者和宣教士到雷汀，幫助發展事工。這些年間，團契中的護士們不斷減少，而學生及本地華人信徒則持續增加。二零零零年開始, 教會有全時間牧者牧養, 也開始聖餐禮, 浸禮, 和成立小組查經班和團契, 開始以教會的形式運作。 二零零九年, 「雷汀華人基督徒團契」正式改名為「雷汀華人基督教會」。

雷汀華人基督教會的會友在年齡的階層上也算平圴，兒童、青少年、成人、伉儷及長者人數都很相若。不同人仕組成了不同的查經小組，一些是國語的、一些是粵語的，如婦女組、伉儷組、長者組等都在平時週日內，在會友家中舉行，一同在神的話語裡追求學習，互相勉勵。今年教會舉辦了讀經計劃，鼓勵會友於年內讀完整本新舊約聖經。雷汀華人基督教會鄰近雷汀大學，由國內來求學的學生人數甚多，歷年來,教會均有邀請華人學生参與教會活動，設有學生職青團契, 也配合Wycliffe Baptist Church為華人學者學生而設,逢星期五晚上舉行的「週五聚會」。每年均有舉辦迎新會,聖誕及農歷新年慶祝會等活動。

Our Statement Of Faith

1. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
我們相信獨一的神﹐全能的父﹐天地的創造者。

2. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is both true God and true man. We believe in his all-sufficient sacrifice for sin by his death on the cross, his bodily resurrection, his ascension into heaven and his coming again in glory.
我們相信神的兒子主耶穌基督﹐祂是真神亦同是真人。我們相信祂在十字架上為罪受死的完全犧牲﹑祂肉身的復活﹑祂的升天和祂在榮耀中的再來。

3. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is one with the Father and the Son in the Godhead. We believe that he indwells every Christian believer and is the source of our spiritual life, obedience to God and Christ-like behaviour.
我們相信與父和子合為一上帝的聖靈。我們相信祂居住在每一個基督信徒之內和是我們屬靈生活﹐順服神和仿傚基督行為的泉源。

4. We believe that through sin man is under God’s judgement and is unable to redeem himself. We believe that a sinner is put right with God through faith in Christ alone, expressed in repentance from sin and commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ.
我們相信人因為罪要受神的審判和不能自我救贖。我們相信一個罪人只能藉相信基督﹐認罪悔改和委身於我們的主基督耶穌才可以被神看為義。

5. We believe that Christ is the supreme head of his body, the church, in which every believer is equipped by God for specific purposes. We believe that the church is called to glorify God in worship, preach the gospel throughout the world and build itself up in love and unity.
我們相信基督是教會﹐祂的身子﹐至高的首﹐而藉這教會神裝備每一個信徒去成就特定的目標。我們相信這教會是被呼召在敬拜﹐在向普世傳福音和以愛及同心互相建立去榮耀神。

6. We believe in the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Bible as originally given, and its supreme authority in all areas related to our faith and conduct.
我們相信聖經是神所默示的是真確的是它最初所給的﹐並它在所有與我們的信仰和行為有關的範圍的至高權威。

7. The RCCC is aware that, because of the present state of the Church at large, denominational differences do exist. For this reason, it should be stressed that the RCCC is an interdenominational fellowship, looking for that which is common to all evangelical believers.
RCCC 知覺到因為現代普世教會的情況有宗派分異的存在。故此要鄭重說明RCCC是一個不分宗派的團契﹐尋求所有福音信徒的共通處。

Reading University Chinese Christian Fellowship

This is a group which caters for Mandarin and Cantonese speaking students and young professional. We meet weekly to explore Jesus' love for us through friendship, discussions, songs and studying the bible. Our meetings are in Mandarin and Cantonese and we welcome friends from different backgrounds to join. As well as being part of the Reading University Christian Union (RUCU), this group is also supported by the Reading Chinese Christian Church. We meet every Wednesday 7:30pm in Edith Morley 127 & 128 during term time.
